Professor Kodio's research is at the interface of applied mathematics, theoretical physics, and biology, and is devoted towards gaining insight into physical, biological, or societal problems through the lens of mathematical modelling. He uses mathematical modelling and computational tools to analyse the formation of patterns in complex systems, such as the growth and form of living matter, and the emergence of collective behaviour in active systems.
