Professor Emeritus Robert Odette has been elected to the 2016 Class of Fellows of The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS). The Fellow Award is conferred on members for their outstanding contributions to the practice of metallurgy, materials science, and technology, and is the highest honor given by the society.

The citation for election was for Prof. Odette’s "sustained contributions to irradiation effects in materials, leading to improved regulatory guidelines for nuclear reactor safety and development of advanced materials for fusion energy."
