Robot Rats
2010-07-29
A variety of mechanical, sensing and strategic designs squared off at the UCSB Engineering Department as autonomous robots made from Legos, DC motors, micro controllers and a variety of sensors competed for foam blocks of 'cheese' against one another. These automated robots are the final pieces of a multidisciplinary class affectionately called 'Lego Robots Rat'; an intensive 6 week upper division class where electrical and mechanical engineering students team together to solve difficult programming and electromechanical problems putting their knowledge and their robots to the final test.
