Research performed by Mechanical Engineering Professor Igor Mezic was recently selected for inclusion in a special 60th anniversary edition of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research magazine.

Mechanical Engineering Professor Eckart Meiburg Elected Fellow of ASME

Mechanical Engineering Professor Eckart Meiburg has been elected as a Fellow of ASME.

Professor Meiburg was conferred this honor “for outstanding leadership and contributions in the area of fluid mechanics, in particular in the areas of vortex dynamics, wake flows, multiphase flows, turbidity currents and the physics of a variety of hydrodynamic instabilities.”

The ASME Board of Governors confers the Fellow grade of membership on worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements.

Prof. Bassam Bamieh Wins 2013 George S. Axelby Outstanding Paper Award

Prof. Bassam Bamieh's article, coauthored with M.R. Jovanović, P. Mitra, and S. Patterson,  entitled "Coherence in Large-Scale Networks: Dimension-Dependent Limitations of Local Feedback'' has been selected as the recipient of the  2013 George S. Axelby Outstanding Paper Award.
